The best AI training service in Orange County depends on the format your team needs: on-site workshops (SafeLab, OC AI School), IT-led Copilot and Gemini training (Technijian), bilingual training (GQ & Company), Microsoft courses (New Horizons), a self-paced certificate (UC Irvine), or a leadership keynote (Alex Goryachev).
Every fact about each provider comes from that provider's own website, checked on October 31, 2026, and linked so you can confirm it yourself.
How Were These Providers Chosen?
Each provider had to pass four tests:
- It trains businesses on AI, in or for Orange County. The provider's own site describes AI training and either names Orange County or a city in it, or offers to deliver training there.
- The offer is described in enough detail to judge. Format, audience, and either a price or a clear way to get one.
- It covers tools teams actually use. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Gemini, as named on the provider's site.
- Facts are checkable. Anything we could not confirm on the provider's own site was left out.
The list mixes types on purpose: a consultancy, a training school, an independent trainer, a managed IT provider, a national training company, a university program, and a keynote speaker. They solve different problems, so read the "best for" line under each one.
Which AI Training Providers Serve Orange County Businesses?
SafeLab AI Engineering
SafeLab AI Engineering is an AI consultancy in Irvine that trains teams on site across Orange County, including Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, and Anaheim. Its employee AI training comes in two fixed-price plans, each a 4-hour hands-on session for up to 10 attendees:
- Essentials ($2,500): training on the AI tools the business already pays for, covering prompting, connector setup, and safe data habits for client information.
- Strategy ($5,000): everything in Essentials, plus a pre-training staff questionnaire, up to five 30-minute staff interviews, training built around the team's real workflows, and three customized automation setups in the team's AI tool.
SafeLab's anonymized home care case study shows the kind of workflow work Strategy sessions aim at: 87% less time to fill an open shift and 75% less time drafting HR email, with a person reviewing every message before it goes out. SafeLab is an OpenAI Select Partner.
Best for: owner-led teams that already pay for ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot and want staff using it well on their own work, with written data rules.
Alex Goryachev
Alex Goryachev is a keynote speaker who offers in-person keynotes across Orange County, including corporate campuses in Irvine, and drives in from San Diego. His workshops are mostly virtual and run 90 to 120 minutes, with formats such as an AI Skills Sprint where each person maps AI use cases for their own job and tests them on real work. He also offers 60-minute lunch and learns.
Best for: a leadership offsite, all-hands, or association event that needs an AI kickoff before team training starts.
GQ & Company
GQ & Company is an Orange County AI training and marketing firm founded by Gisele Hasman. Its site offers virtual or in-person team training on ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and other tools, in English or Spanish, alongside AI policy, tool selection, and executive coaching. OC AI School is an AI and automation training school in Costa Mesa that teaches at the BizHaus coworking space. For businesses it runs onsite team workshops in three sizes: half-day (4 hours), full-day (8 hours), and multiday (12 or more hours), each shaped by a discovery conversation about team priorities, tools, and data rules. It also teaches individual classes in person or over Zoom, including a one-hour personal AI assistant setup class listed at $199.
Best for: teams that want to build agents and automations hands-on, and individuals who want a class before committing the whole team.
Technijian
Technijian is a managed IT provider headquartered in Irvine that serves businesses across Orange County. Its AI training page describes hands-on Copilot and Gemini workshops built around the client's own documents and delivered department by department, plus prompt engineering by role, executive AI briefings, AI policy and governance training, and monthly adoption tracking. It covers ChatGPT and Claude as well. Engagements start with a free AI training assessment that ends in a written proposal with scope, schedule, and pricing. The page does not say whether sessions are on site.
Best for: Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace companies that want AI training from the same firm that runs their IT.
UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business
The Merage School's Leadership Development Institute sells Generative AI for Business Application, a self-paced online program with 66 lessons and about 10 hours of video, priced at $995. What About UC Irvine Extension, Cal State Fullerton, and Community Colleges?
Two public institutions in Orange County build custom training for employers. Neither custom training office publishes a business AI workshop.
- UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education runs custom corporate training on site, virtual, or hybrid, for cohorts of 15 or more. Its published catalog covers leadership, communication, project management, and Lean Six Sigma, with no AI workshop listed on October 31, 2026.
- Cal State Fullerton University Extension offers custom training for Orange County organizations on campus, online, or at your location. Its page names no AI program.
If your company prefers a public provider, ask either office whether it will build an AI course for your team. A cohort of 15 or more is the stated minimum at UC Irvine.
Why Train the Team at All?
Buying AI licenses is the easy part. Feeling equipped to use them well is harder. A Jobs for the Future survey of 3,020 people (JFF, 2026) found just 36% of workers say they have the training and resources they need to use AI in their jobs, down from 45% a year earlier.
The payoff from closing that gap tends to land on the people with the most room to grow. A study of 5,179 customer support agents (NBER working paper, 2023) found a generative AI assistant raised issues resolved per hour by 14% on average and by 34% for novice and lower-skilled workers. Structured training is one way to help newer staff reach that level of work sooner. How to train employees on AI lays out a four-week rollout, and purchased ChatGPT for your team, now what? covers the step right after buying licenses.
Which Option Fits Your Team?
- You want the whole team trained together, at your office, on your own work: SafeLab or OC AI School.
- Your IT provider already runs Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace: ask Technijian, or your own IT provider, what AI training it offers.
- You need a standard Copilot syllabus per seat: New Horizons.
- Your team works in Spanish: GQ & Company.
- One leader needs a foundation first: UC Irvine's self-paced program.
- You need to get leadership on board first: a keynote from Alex Goryachev.
Before you sign with anyone, run through the questions in how to choose an AI training provider, and compare formats and per-person math in how much AI training costs. The same list exists for Los Angeles and San Diego.
