Do you work with San Diego businesses?
Yes. We are based in Irvine, so San Diego engagements run remote-first: interviews and follow-ups happen over video, and team training and kickoff happen on site on days we schedule with you in advance.
Can you train our San Diego team in person?
Yes. Both training plans can be delivered on site in San Diego County on a scheduled day. Each is a 4-hour hands-on session for up to 10 attendees, built around your team’s real work.
We are a defense or government contractor. Can we use AI tools?
Often, for work that involves no controlled information, and only with tools your security team approves. We start by mapping which tools touch which data, then write a policy your compliance lead can review. Contract and regulatory interpretation stays with your counsel and security officer.
How do we start?
It starts with a 30-minute kickoff over video, then a written proposal, then the on-site AI Strategy & Assessment: tool inventory, data safety review, a written AI usage policy, and a prioritized roadmap you keep.
What size and kind of businesses do you work with?
We work with teams from 5 to 200 employees: professional services firms, healthcare-adjacent practices, real estate and insurance offices, and trades businesses with an office staff. We’re based in Irvine and primarily serve all of Southern California, including Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Riverside counties. We also work with remote teams across the U.S. and Canada.
Our team is already using ChatGPT on their own. Is that a problem?
It might be, and you’re not alone. Most businesses have employees using AI tools without approval and regulation about what data can go into them. Our SafeLab AI Strategy & Assessment gives your team clear, safe rules from day one.
Do we need anyone technical to work with you?
No, that’s the point. SafeLab exists for businesses that want effective AI integration but don’t have anyone technical to own it. We handle the technical decisions and explain everything in plain language, so you get results without making a six-figure hire.
How do you keep our customer data safe?
Safety is built into everything we set up: a data safety review of where your information is going today, a written policy on what may and may not enter AI tools, and vetting of every vendor before it touches your data. Our founder built production AI systems for healthcare and enterprise environments where data protection is non-negotiable.
What do I get from AI Strategy?
Strategy is where the work starts, and the assessment is part of it. We spend time on site observing your current software and workflows and where AI fits (and where it doesn’t), review what data your team already puts into AI tools, and hand you a starter AI usage policy and a roadmap of what to set up first. The findings shape the training and any builds that follow. If you start with training, the Strategy training plan includes a staff questionnaire and up to 5 staff interviews.
What does On-Going AI Support include?
SafeLab help you make sure that the setup and configuration of the tools on your roadmap are up to date in an ever-changing AI landscape, your governance policy kept current, a real expert to ask when something doesn’t work, and vendor vetting before you sign up for any new AI tool.
How do you make sure the results are measurable?
We define the metrics that matter to your business at kickoff, capture baselines during the assessment, and set up dashboards and reporting so you can see the effect of AI on productivity, customer satisfaction, and the bottom line. On-Going Support includes regular check-ins to review progress and adjust the plan.
Do you also build custom AI software?
Yes. We take on custom AI development requests, including agents, integrations, and private deployments, as separately scoped project work.
